When it comes to supporting your real estate business, it’s important to address your Marketing ‘Core Four’. The core four are the primary platforms, the foundation if you will, that create a solid base for your marketing: Contacts, Website, Social and Email. By setting these up to work in tandem with each other, then consistently using them, you ensure broad-based exposure to your audience. Sure, you could address just one or two of these areas, but you won’t get the long terms results you desire. Once you have your core four established, then you can branch out and incorporate marketing initiatives like direct-mail, online advertising, video marketing, webinars, and such.
Here’s more about the Core Four, along with reasons we feel they are important.
- CONTACTS: Everyone you can possibly think of that may use you, or refer you to others, to buy or sell a home. Gathering these contacts into one place takes a bit of time, but it’s so worth it. This is your sphere, they have some level of faith in you, you actually see some of them on occasion, and it’s virtually guaranteed that if you do a decent job of staying in touch and provide value in your touches, that you will be the REALTOR® they call on in their time of need.
- WEBSITE: Whether it’s your broker-provided one, or a custom site you developed, it should have an excellent home search, quality content and encourage connections. There’s so much your website can offer home buyers and sellers (home search, save their fav listing, how you will work for them, local market stats, specific education for your target audience, blog posts, area photos, and more). All of this content is accompanied by lead-capture, connecting with the home buyer or seller so you can continue building a relationship.
- SOCIAL MEDIA: Depending on your personal level of interest, employ one or more social media platforms in your marketing. We see most agents using Facebook, Twitter, G+ and LinkedIn. It’s easier than you think to engage, and though it does take a slight learning curve to adjust to, these platforms do bring you business. Use them to direct prospects to your website, where they can explore and start a dialog with you.
- EMAIL MARKETING: Using an email marketing tool, you consistently and respectfully share relevant and interesting real estate information with your contacts. Easier than every before to set up and start using, this effort can be virtually free. The challenging part is figuring out what information to share, and this is not that hard. These tools help you capture your prospects info via your website and social media.
